This has been going on for ages now. I would tend to state that Philip Morris was banned from the time Survanabhumi (King Power Int'l Airport) was opened. Every time I passed through the King Power employees claimed "out of stock". Not a big problem for me as I don't smoke but I try to pick up a pack for my assistant.

Another case of "only in Thailand".
