Haven't noticed anyone being sent to the end of the line. I read the report of it posted on FT ... but is it really SOP, airport specific SOP, or just a screener using "discretion"
I don't know if it is SOP - especially since most TSA staff seem to think that the SOP falls under SSI and cannot be discussed. However, on both of my last trips through my home airport (BWI), I have heard barkers in the B and D C/P stating that any items not properly removed from bags would require a trip to the back of the line following any additional scans that may be required (not phrased as kindly as that...).
