That makes more sense. Does CX offer discounted day of departure upgrades at X cost? I am currently booked in Y and would like to upgrade, if available to J on my HKG-LAX trip. Sitting in Y for that long is not to bad until the person in front of you reclines their seat and you suddenly can't move.
