I was happy about the text msg, but really surprised they didn't notify me about their re-booking me on LH - it wasn't there in the night nor in the morning, I only saw it later when I went back to my online profile to print evidence. Couldn't really stay online to follow the process though...

They didn't tell anything about the cause, but I guess they should be able to have spare parts, back-up crew etc in a hub like FRA...
Unfortunately, there were no option, despite FRA-LON being a packed route. I had a meeting, which left me with one other flight option (and one very risky one).
And they didn't really resolve the issue that I had had paid this other flight myself - they did NOT compensate me for this higher fare, only the section not flown, i.e. the canceled flight..
