Overseas household EC account & BA Amex card

Morning all,
Having a problem with my BA Amex account and exec club account.
Late last year we bought a house in Miami Beach and my partner spends most of the year there - we moved our BA exec club household account to the US from our UK address as it made more sense from his travelling perspective.

I have since received a letter from BA Amex saying that they will close my account unless we separate the accounts and I move my EC account back to a UK address.

I assume that this is correct policy but it seems a shame that we can no longer have household accounts - we could move his account back to the UK but he says he won't do this as the savings he makes having a US account outweighs the benefits of having a UK joint account.

Anyone know anything about this or any suggestions to get around it?
Thanks.
JR.
