If by ANC you mean Anchorage then yes, I do remember it from 1983/1984! Great big bear rearing up inside a glass box. In fact I think there were a couple of them.
I used to stop off in Anchorage on my way to Seoul to visit my parents on site (flying KAL )

Is that really "back in the day"? Now I feel old
Let's just say I was 2 at the time then.
