Just PM'd you. I called them but don't think they quite got what I was saying via getting swtiched over to JFK, EWR & IAD, so they decided to stick w/ the LH flights tomorrow. Plus I didn't realize that Tony is taking back one of the computers from the trade show as checked baggage (properly crated of course), so that would minimize any running & trying to get checked onto the other flights. They said only 3 people have been processed in the last hour, so methinks they'll be in the UA line for quite a while tonight!

Maybe worth a try, advise them to go to LX desk, maybe he/she is willing to rebook/reissue them on LX (personally think is better then LH in Y), it is still within *A.
For the Hotel advise them to try NH Schiphol htl or Bastion all within 5-10 minutes from the airport, other the Mercure Hotel behind customs, if they have their BP's (they rate from 8pm till 9 am €85 per room).
