I'm sorry, this is very shabby behaviour. The immigration officer in question acted very professionally in doing nothing more than ignoring your comments, IMO.
If you want to complain, there are proper paths to do so. I have no time for people who abuse front-line staff (particularly when "well, I'm spending money" is the reason).
