Huh? UA is just reconfiguring interiors, NOT selling off, parking, or destroying 767s. There will be just as many in the fleet, so chances are, the 767 will return to SEA in the near future. The 777 returns on ORD-SEA-DEN October 28, so life isn't that bad in SEA.

I would think that once they put the premium seats in they are going to try and maximize revenue by keeping the 3-class craft on international routes. Now maybe it needs to do the SEA run to keep its utilization high but I don't think its necessary. I think its really used as a rolling backup: its a backup if another plane is delayed or out mechanically but in a good utilization pattern when its not needed.
As they are going through the upgrades its going to be one or two less 767s in the fleet at any point in time and as they come back from refurb, Im sure they will try and keep them on international duty as much as possible. I just dont think they will fly as many 3-class craft domestically any more, especially with the seat count now lower.
