Way to go DuckSoup! One of my most interesting travel experiences was when I was standing on line to check in for a flight and the lady immediately in front of me had a seizure. She hit her head directly onto the airport tile floor and hemorrhaged profusely. I stabilized her C-spine and airway until she recovered and then (an off-duty EMT had showed up to assist) tended to her wound while we waited for EMS to arrive. It took about 2hrs for the whole thing to transpire and I missed my flight. I was booked in a budget coach fare, and when I went back to the line to try and rebook (covered in blood) the agent said, "Doctor I just saw what happened and I will rebook you on the next flight out on any airline, first class." It was great. One of those times where you do your duty, and it pays off.
