I seriously question how important the product is in selling J and F seats. I would have to think that corporate contracts and rates have much more to do with it. That and schedules. For example, due to a company-imposed boycott of BA (our former preferred carrier, until they lost dozens of folks bags for extended periods), I had the displeasure of flying LX. The product was genuinely awful, with horribly uncomfortable seats, and it was packed to the gills in J.
