this thread may have made my decision for my one-night Seattle stay in October. Having stayed twice before at the Hyatt, I was going to try the Westin - identical to the Hyatt on rate - but looks like the Grand Hyatt will win out. I hate to hear that a Westin is "shabby".
To the OP - The views from many of the rooms at this Hyatt are SPECTACULAR. It's a really, really nice hotel. You'll enjoy your stay. Ruth's Chris is quite nice - but it's a chain. If you have the time, there are dozens of really great Seattle restaurants within a moment's walk from the hotel that would give you more of a Seattle feel. And, in that moment's walk, you may even run into a Starbucks or two!
