Don,

Firstly, please stop shouting. Secondly, Please Stop Needlessly Capitalising random Words. Neither of which actually make your posts any easier to read -many of us who have spent a lot of time on BB's have trained our eye not to read such things since it generally smacks of hysteria. (If you could also apostrophe correctly, we'd be grateful - we're sorry, we're just a bit anal about these things )

No, we are not dense. We are British. As many Americans have found in the past (and some already understood), just because we share a common language, it doesn't meant that culturally we are the same. Got to say in fairness, it's also an eye-opener for some Brits as well You've posted to a predominantly British board (ie one made of of predominantly British participants) and now seem to be complaining that we don't agree with the American way of doing things - to the point you started haranguing and calling names. Now really, that's not nice, it's not polite, and again, it's not the way the British do things. Shouting louder doesn't make your argument any more impressive I'm afraid.

BA's conduct in the baggage losses has been appalling. It doesn't mean that the British will agree that the way forward is a class-action suit, which, to us seems fairly spurious (as explained by The Saint so much better than I could). You say you want to spank BA. We come from a culture where one cannot obtain punitive damages - where one can only obtain damages to cover actual losses covered.

Good luck in your lawsuit. But don't be surprised if we continue to not agree with you on it's value. Still, so long as we do so civilly, that's the main thing isn't it?
