There is no fast-track security (and although not as bad as slow-track LHR on a bad day, is can still be 10-15 minutes so you'll be pining for Zone R).
What time of the day do you fly? I've never had more than a two or 3 min wait.

Also I'd rather sit in LCY and look at the dock and planes than stuck in the Terraces, or the giant shopping mall that is Heathrow.
