Last month I was in F from MBS (Saginaw) to ORD...Quick flight, 38 minutes in the air...And the FA offered hot towels. QuantumLeap is right, not a make or break--but still nice. I was so thrown by the FA doing this, I commented to him, he said there's nothing written about giving them, and he personally always offers them, given that the towels are loaded on board.

By the way, what about drinks before takeoff? One of the reasons I board early when in F is to get a brewski or even a water before takeoff. Seems like less than half of my flights these days are offering ANYTHING before takeoff.
