Indeed they do...right from the award chart. So that would be 50,000 miles + $600...unless they waive that for platinum, UA would be a much "cheaper" upgrade..

I guess it's 5,000 miles cheaper than UA, though.... 25K vs. 30K, and UA requires H and higher class to upgrade. I guess AA's co-pay is their way of forcing a higher fare for upgrades.
