Why do so many WN flyers seem to confuse the light switch with the FA call button?

Pardon me if this has been mentioned before.

I recently pondered this question while on a WN flight. It seems like WN is the only airline whose FA's go out of their way to point out which button above their head is the one for light (the one with the picture of a light bulb on it...what a concept!)

Yet, on just about all of 20-30 WN flights in recent memory, without fail, as soon as the cabin lights are dimmed, the FA call chimes start going off, despite the announcement that was just made concerning the location of the light button. Then, of course, another announcement has to be made which instructs the cabin that, "if you accidentally pushed your call button, just push it again to turn it off."

Now, none of the FA's on other airlines I fly regularly (UA, US, DL, NW, AC, etc.) make any special announcements regarding which button is for the light; and yet, when the lights go out in those cabins, the call chimes very, very rarely go off.

I'd like to blame this on WN getting a fairly large number of infrequent flyers; but we know that the legacies get their fair share of infrequent flyers, also. Maybe WN FA's should try not adding a special blurb about the location of the light button and people would stop hitting the wrong button time after time?
