Should all SSWUs be offered as options as part of next year's packages?

Right now, for SEs and Es, one can ask for SSWU an option the following year's tier status packages. Right now, SEs automatically can get further SSWUs at 40K and 75K status miles, and Es can get the SSWUs with the 75K status mile threshold (having lost this benefit at 45K a couple of years ago?).

Right now, with the latitude flight passes, and with the latitude fare often (in North America) being must closer to a T+ fare, than a business class fare, it is not useful for me to use SSWUs for North American flying. For overseas flying, even for SEs, it is quite problematic in getting upgrades with SSWUs ( I prefer to pay extra, and use the SWUs at the time of purchase, for such routes).

Therefore, I am not sure I need the SSWUs at all. For Es, some may not need the SSWUs at the beginning of the benefit year; others may yearn for the lost benefit of the SSWU at 40/45K.

To solve all these problems, I propose to AC/Aeroplan that all SSWUs, at all mileage levels (incl. 40/45K for Es) be part of options with that beginning of year package.

What do you think?
