I enjoy most the planning phase. I usually plan my vacations a few months in advance and usually have 2 or 3 trips being planned at a time.
After about 7-10 days on the road I start missing my bed, shower, car and start getting homesick.
I usually don't worry about work or pending stuff until I board the plane back home. It is then that I start making lists of things I need to do once I get back home.
