Ease of access dictates the horizontal arrangement of a pilot's map case or a catalog case or rolling office. What we've seen so far - Samsonite and Solo - don't seem quite big enough, and my husband (the frequent flier, not me) is reluctant to settle for a rolling backpack. The vertical format is not ideal for stacks of books, or for accessing items without unpacking everything.
How many law books?
I have a Briggs and Riley Rolling Computer Multi-Case (BRW13), now replaced by the slightly trimmer (to fit under seats), lighter
BR213. Comes with removable file and laptop cases, which can be used separately.
The
BR212X is similar but expandable by an extra 2.5 inches.
The whole line of rolling cases may be viewed
here.
As always, B&R comes with a lifetime repair guarantee (and they do mean lifetime). ^
