In Vienna, I can't believe that they couldn't get you out of immigration. Especially you having a visa that was just expired, there shouldn't have been a reason not to allow you in. I guess if you had been someone who had never had a Schengen visa before, I could understand their hesitation. Why would any reasonable person at immigration deny you to enter the country? I would think that the AUA people did not try hard enough to convince immigration.

SmilingBoy.
I spoke with the crew both before the doors were closed (at that time they weren't telling us of a long delay, but I just wanted to warn them in case of), and after the doors were shut. I made it clear to them that I would not be able to make it to the Belgrade flight given that that one was on time, and that they should put me on another flight (it was a Lufthansa flight via Frankfurt).

As for immigration in Vienna, I went to speak myself to the officers, and they told me that it should be AUA speaking (writing a letter), and that than it would be no problem, but AUA staff refused to do it. (I do have their names, even though it was several months ago).

Dude, get angry! Stop giving them your money and make sure they know it!

Otherwise, I can already read your next big OS whining here!

I wish it was so easy. Not that I don't understand your point, I would act the same way, but it's not like I have that much choice from Belgrade Airport in terms of connecting flights.
