So what do you suggest to do? Go to court? They know you don't....and the flying public just has no lobby. And FT sure isn't helpful in this regard either. For my part I decided to care about my own well being the most. I only fight when its worth it. And if I fight I mostly win.

I felt that the OP would be quite discouraged by some of the answers to his post - so I decided to look up EC261 again. So now at least here's some evidence that his view might have been correct. Which way he decides to use it is up to him. And in a future situation similar to the one described (especially if a lawyer from this board will back me up) some of us may profit.
