I'm glad to hear that UA made you whole, but am I the only one who is more concerned that this simply should not have occurred in the first place! If you can pay F prices (vs. upgrading from C), the $900 is nothing to you. You likely want an experience that does not include being startled by dirty socks and used tissues.

I still fondly remember my LH F experience from 2005. ^ No airline is always perfect, but if you've got the miles/money, LH F (or SQ F or most any other *A airline) provides a far better F experience with fewer missteps that require compensation!
