I guess you'd first need to verify that CO will status match anything. A US Plat might only get you CO Bronze (lowest) if they do it at all. Or they might make you do a challenge to prove your commitment.
CO will absolutely status match through Feb 09! They match CP and Plat to their Plat, Gold to Gold, Silver to Silver.
