I ran my scenario by AMEX when pre-paying on the card, and they were not happy with the dealer. As there was a 3rd party involved on my behalf, I had ask AMEX to have amnesia. (Note: Making friends with the customer service rep is a good idea. In this case, she turned the other cheek!)
