IME, the majority of FS properties (except resorts) will provide a breakfast to plats on weekends. Sometimes they offer without asking, sometimes you have to ask. Sometimes they give you a bit of an argument and then relent. But most of the time they're pretty cheerful about it, and if you're with your spouse, they'll usually make it breakfast for two.

Some properties will give you the option of taking the cold or "healthy start" buffet gratis, or paying the differential to upgrade to a full hot and cold buffet. To me, this is totally fair because the cold buffet is of comparable value to what's offered in most CLs.

And then there are those in the minority that take a hard line and flat-out refuse to offer anything.

The T&Cs of the MR program clearly state that breakfast is only a benefit on weekdays. Thankfully, however, most properties think enough of their guests to continue providing the perk even when they don't have to.
