Yes. The problem is caused when a lot of people try to access the site at the same time. I find it much faster at times of day when less people are likely to be logging in (e.g. small hours of the morning = later in the morning in Europe when I am there).

Even the Flyer Talk board can occasionally be slow, for the same reason, though it is normally better than most. The solution is the same.
