Really? Well let's see. At least two major airlines and one major hotel chain have employees on Flyertalk who actively participate in the forums to ensure their best customers are informed, the company is aware of problems, and significant complaints are handled. If they thought we were all a joke, they wouldn't be here.

Since I'm also in touch with members of my graduating class who are either currently flying or managing airports (my academic background is flight, airline/airport management), you should hear what THEY have to say about the TSA and you screeners - trust me, it would be a TOS violation if I repeated it here verbatim. The last time I was at homecoming, I got quite an earful from some airport managers I was attending a conference with - including one who almost ended up coming to blows with a FSD that went too far. No one from my class I've talked to who flies had anything good to say about the TSA - from eye rolls to things I can't type here without being censored.

About the only TSA fans I'm aware of in the business are the law-and-order gung-ho types who signed up as FFDOs and/or are ex-military. Most of these types fly for AA or DL and are certainly not in the majority. Whatever respect or gratitude the crews had for the TSA when it first appeared is most certainly looooonnngg gone by now, except for a few diehard fans.

So, care to relate any specific conversions or feedback you have from airport managers who think y'all are doing a bang-up job and anyone who complains about their treatment at the hands of the screening staff can just stay home?
