IME, yes they will. Two caveats are:
1) I haven't done this in a long time. But in 2005, it did work this way. Citi has definitely made some changes to the posting algorithm since then so this may have changed.
2) I'm not sure if they calculate matching capacity based on lifetime points or points within a given year. They track both on your statement. May be moot for you if all of the spending was within the last year.
But really, the only way to find out is to wait and see what they do. It doesn't seem like it will change any of your actions, so no sense in worrying about it. But do let us know what does happen.

In my experience citi uses lifetime points when matching flight points with purchase points. I am not sure if the reverse is true. I have flown much more this year than i have shopped. I was surprised to see every flight point post to my TYN.
