Thank you all for your help.
There wasn't an invitation automatically printed. Would the fact that the first leg of the trip was EWR-IAD be the reason? (the trip was EWR-IAD-LHR).
I was thinking of writing a letter to United, does anyone have a link to the actual eligibility codes on the United website? I assume that a saver business class award is XC, correct?
