Raise fares and raise nickel and dime charges -- much more than nickels and dimes -- is something the airlines seem to get a kick out of doing. Hopefully this won't affect PMs. If it does, there's always Star Alliance luggage allowances for Star Gold elites for those trips -- business or leisure, paid with cash or with miles -- where luggage allowance counts.
