I realize that the rules state that upgrades are not available on all published fares. BUT....

BEFORE purchasing the the tickets, I went through the list of "RULES"... Not once does it say this what fare it will ticket... Not once does it hint or even talk about upgrades...

Rules are rules... and I understand that.. but before purchasing via UAL.COM it clearly warns/advises to read the fare rules... and if you take the time to do that... it should say "not upgradeable." When you read the rules of a e-fare... It clearly states "not upgradeable"... thus common sense tells you if it doesn't mention upgrades in the rules, it is upgradeable. How are you supposed to know otherwise?
