I do have a problem when people use international standards to judge third world countries. yes, the election was far from perfect, and perhaps was probably rigged, however, this is a widespread problem throughout Africa. Listen, I'm not starting a debate, the 2000 election that got George Bush into the white house was not perfect either.
Well I suppose if the categories are "perfect" and "not perfect", than everything is about the same.

Yeah, right. As much as the various election shenanigans in the U.S. have pained me, it's pretty insulting to compare them to what goes on in Nigeria. And it's an insult to the many other African countries that make an effort to hold elections. Even Congo did a better job of it than Nigeria.

Nigeria is a ridiclulous and dangerous place. It's one of the few places I've felt truly unsafe.
