very interesting Bear...

I personally have been able to observe at least 10 groups domestically, which is my only experience, never having flown internationally before... rated in terms of how annoying to other passengers in order of LEAST to MOST they are:

1. Vacationing Honeymooners (pretty much "keep to themselves"

2. Senior citizens

3. Conscientious Business travelers

4. Well-behaved adults

5. Well-behaved children

6. People who obviously don't travel a lot getting on board the plane and acting like they know everything there is to konw about air travel (I actually overheard two ladies who were obviously leisure traveling, and the one told the other, "If we hurry to the back, we'll still be able to get the good seats, even though they're in the back... these people are so stupid to just wait around for eveyone to take a seat."

7. Misbehaving children (Good Lord, parents, do you have ANY idea how NOT cute it is for a child to be throwing a drink around my laptop??????)

8. Screaming children (the ones that solve every conflict by screaming until the parents acede to the child's wishes to get them to shut up)

9. Bratty children (the ones who are just that way... parents, you have no idea how bad a child raised this way makes you look... ESPECIALLY is close quarters with other people)

(I'm sorry to keep picking on the kids, but my experiences with children on aircraft have GENERALLY been unpleasant - not all, just generally)

and #10......

"Bag of Wind" business travelers and their #%^ arrogant attitudes!! (you know, those guys with the Business Meeting Voices that think everyone in the cabin is interested in the story currently being foisted on the poor sap sitting next to them... they're also the ones who corner the FAs and try to impress them with their status by making stupid requests of them that they will of course respond to by saying "i don't think I can do that", just so they can feign disgust... oh yeah, these are the same guys who hold up the gate counter for twenty minutes because they feel that their status entitles them to a free upgrade, so they spend twenty minutes explaining in colorful language about what they've been through in the past three weeks and then start making demands and holding up the line)

I'm sorry, did that come across as a little mean?
