I think maybe so...I'm a new Gold Elite member and I have exactly 24,560 points. Sigh. Is there any chance I can get 'em to sell me some points? I'm taking an AA flight BNA-LGR on Friday so I may be able to request the upgrade afterward, but this brings me to part B of my question...

The upgrade would be for a flight in about two weeks...have I already waited too long? Any info appreciated.

(p.s. I do realize I also have to pay $250 for an international upgrade....)
