I'll take NW under the right conditions. I don't mind sitting for a couple hours in Row 5 on an A319/A320 or DC-9; plenty of legroom, etc. I've noticed the ultra-thin seats on the DC-9s exit row though...I sit back and my head feels like it's hitting plastic. Thankfully that was a short CLE-DTW flight.

As for lounges, I've been to WorldClubs at BOS, JFK, DTW (high A, low A and C) and SEA. BOS is dungeon-like, DTW and SEA are very nice clubs (although SEA gets over-crowded when the NRT and AMS flights are leaving). JFK was a great club, but it might not be a WC anymore...it was shared between NW, KL, EI, TG and a couple other airlines. One of the best lounges I've been to.

But for NW, I love connecting in DTW - easily my favorite hub to connect in. Very airy, easy to get around and very clean. My only complaint really is it's a bit annoying getting off a plane at the end of the A concourse and having a huge food court right in the middle. I can live without snacks on a short flight (my longest flights with them are no more than 90 minutes; BOS-DTW is about the longest I get) and I've gotten good service from them.
