Now I know I have a bias toward Delta being a PM, but my NW flight from LAX to HNL was disappointing to say the least.

First I get to the airport and go to the NW "VIP" room which makes the Delta LAX CR look like the Taj Mahal. At least the booze was self serve. The agents at the front were surly to boot.

First surprise was that the 757 we were on had no leather in first. Then I get to my 27D exit row and sit down. I immediately feel the metal in the back of the seat. I turn around and can see two vertical bars pressed into the seat back. Nice comfy seat.

Then my biggest surprise on a 5.5 hour flight. No food unless I buy it. Not even friggen chips! And what's with the water out of a big bottle instead of individual bottles? Is NW this cheap? I know I took this flight because they were so much cheaper than Delta and since we don't get upgrades to HNL I thought no biggie who I fly.

I won't make that mistake again. At least on Delta they feed you, give you bottles of water, plus snacks.



PS, I was STUNNED to see only 6 people in front when I hit the head. SIX!
