My wife and I went to San Antonio de Areco in February and spent a night at El Ombu: http://www.estanciaelombu.com

It was a great place and good value. San Antonio is a nice little town with some nice shops and museums to see. We just drove out from BA for a night but I think 2 nights would have been better.
