I keep a low 5.9% Chase Platinum card for emergencies and don't really use it for anything else. A couple of months ago, fraud calls stating that a marketing firm tried to charge my card multiple times and I told them it was not authorized. They sent me a new card, closed my old account, and transferred the charges.

Here's how dumb they are. I verbally told them which charges were legitimate to transfer to the new card. They managed to transfer all but one. I called a couple of times trying to be honest because I did authorize this one transaction. A few weeks later, I get something in the mail asking me to check off the legitimate charges, sign the form, and sent it back to Chase. Coincidentally, the one charge on there they were questioning was the very charge I told them was authorized. I checked it off, signed the form, and sent it in.

My statement closes out, it never posts. I call once or twice again inquiring about it. One person tells me I'll have to get the merchant to re-run the card to get it to post. (Wrong...I called the merchant, they were paid and no charge-backs). I called again and another CSR put me on hold; then told me it would be on my statement. It never was, so I guess Chase ate that one.

I tried multiple times to be honest with them, but if they can't get it right after 4 tries, and a signed document, I guess they eat it.
