Whenever I've been rerouted by UA to another carrier due to weather delay or mechanical and Rule 240 has been applied so that the other carrier is honoring the UA ticket (or FIM), UA has given me full credit as if I had actually flown the delayed or cancelled UA flight(s). This has happened perhaps 8-10 times over the past 6 years, including before I was 1K or even Premier.
