LY flights to Japan, well cargo to Nagoya
This is one of two topics LY LOVES to bring up every year and still hasn't done it.
The other is getting rid of First Class.
They haven really done either yet.
As for Japan - LY was given approval to start cargo and pax service to Japan by the Israeli Transportation Ministry.
LY has decided to first start cargo service to Nagoya and hopefully have pax service to Tokyo in spring 2008.
The Japanese authorities still need to approve the Nagoya flights.
In the meantime, Japan has only authorized LY to offer pax service to Osaka.
They probably made the announcement to counter Korean Air's plans to start nonstop ICN - TLV flights this Spring.
