Interesting you mentioned that chase called up with a fraud charge. I just got the new chase Continental card and my account was also put on hold for a possible fraud charge. I ended up wasting 6 hours trying to find out if someone had stole my identy after the department said that multiple people had the same social security number. It turns out that one other person in their system had the same number and it was likely a typographical error in the public records search. I check my credit report monthly and I talked to the head of the department who said that the representative was not suppose to tell me that another person had the same number. What kind of BS is that? The company treated the whole situation very poorly and have no concern about credit fraud as long as they keep signing up new people. Needless to say I am going to switch cards after the miles post.
