I have not flown KOA-ORD before, but I have flown several redeyes from Hawaii and in all cases there is a final pre-arrival beverage service in both F and Y. Even if it is just a choice of Orange Juice or Coffee from a tray, I would expect to be offered *SOMETHING*, given the flight is over 7 hours.
Can anyone confirm if I had a lazy crew, or if this is an "enhancement"? Or do some of you think that perhaps on overnight flights, a pre-arrival beverage service isn't needed, to ensure pax have maximum time to sleep?
I flew UA 3 KOA-ORD a few weeks ago in coach and the F/As were very good about passing through the cabin offering water or coffee about once every hour for the entire second half of the flight. It seems (sadly) that you simply did not get a good crew.
