Not only do our new cards expire in a year, but I had to call to request the renewal cards because the system did not generate them automatically. Citi then did a prorated calculation reducing the annual fees slightly, which is apparently related to the glitch that missed the renewal. I did not ask for an explanation ofthe one year renewal because I have moved most of our recurring transactions to another card.
