I was directed to this thread by one of our CSD's via our Cabin Crew Forum.
I transferred from Longhaul flying last year for a change in lifestyle. I have seen a few sights along the way relating to Safety etc. but your experience re: the unsecured trolley was abysmal and i'm sorry you had to encounter this.
I do hope you receive the customer service reply you deserve; i also agree that you must write to Head of Inflight Services, Simon Talling-Smith for this to be addressed correctly.
If my daughter for example was seated with that school party i would be furious. Customers choose us because we are strict with our safety procedures. The crew checking the rear galley had obviously not ensured it was totally secure before passing the final secure check on.
The Captain was embarrassed because he had landed an unsecured aircraft.
I feel sorry for this Purser - there are a lot of excellent crew members out there who would give anything for her position.
This Forum is fascinating and a real eye opener for customer comments!
