Thank you for the info. I didn't have any other alternatives due to Cathay not letting weekend award seats out. The flight is QF30 LHR-HKG departing at 1225pm and arriving at 815am the next day. I guess it is sort of day, sort of night.

Right now, we are the only two on the plane so we have our choice of seats. I am reluctant about 2A and 2K, even though 2A is my favorite seat, due to the distance.
