For those traveling from the Newark area, there is a great alternative to resolve this issue.

Delta has a handful of flights per day from Trenton Mercer. There are no lines, no parking charges, and in the few times I have taken them, they have been on time.

Access to club for AMEX platinums...

And ticket prices that are typically 1/2 of CO out of Newark.

I'm a loyal CO guy, but the AMEX platinum impact of that move sucks.
