(I was flying a CNS-SIN-LHR-CDG routing). The agent was very understanding and accomodating, however was very clear about the fact that this was an exception.

So be very careful about what flight you book. In this case unfortunately I had no choice and had to put up with a long uncomfortable flight via DRW in a packed A320!!!
