I honestly would like to think so if the OP's version of events can be corroborated by other pax (which BA can of course try to do).

We are told positive feedback on crew is recorded on their file - I would assume this applies to negative too (re the poor service). In the case of breaches in actually discharging the safety-related side of the job (which this sounds like to me) then I would hope management took it seriously. At worst, I would expect this to be recorded against said Purser's record if they were trying for CSD (for example)? I have absolutely no problem praising good crews (and, thank God, I can do this most of the time on BA ^) but by the same token, bad, lazy and (potentially) dangerous crews should be pulled up.

I'm not advocating sending random ramblings the direction of the rabid gutter press - they're anti-BA in general (IMHO) but in fact I'd say it seems to have no effect on BA anyway. But more than that, the standard of most journalism related to aviation is woeful and I couldn't bring myself to it I don't think!

The 'right' thing to do is report it to BA as a serious problem. I would like to think they would act upon it. Don't get me wrong, I am probably as cynical as you as to this progressing far enough to make a big difference (or should that be ) but I do also believe that's no reason not to do the 'right' thing here. That's just a bit too defeatist - and doesn't ever open up the possibility for being 'pleasantly surprised' at BA taking it seriously and appropriately. You're not giving them the option to do so.

If it's worth a long, considered post on FT then it's surely worth a few extra minutes slightly recycling that through the proper channels?

I'm on no crusade here - and I'm probably now descending in to my own random ramblings - but reading the OP at face value (and the OP themselves is certainly no newly-registered troll!) I do find this very sad (from the service angle) and rather worrying (from the safety angle, and even more so the attitude described after the 'mistake' with the trolley).

Has all hope really gone, LoM? Only today I also posted in your own thread about positive CS/feedback experiences...
