Question Routing Info continued..

Thanks for all the replies, I thought that is what it meant, but I saw a thread where someone was using multiple connections (and one where the person used the standby rule to change the routing rules entirely.. go figure) so I wanted to make sure..

I'm trying to maximize my miles for a challenge, and ITA lists both MIA and LAX as legs that can be added, but on AA.com I lose the fare when I go thru more than one city (thought it might be a bug, until I checked the fare rules) now I'm in need of a few thousand more miles Need 3700+ each way..)

P.S. Amazingly, TPA-SFO non-stop seems to be the exact same distance of 2393 miles as TPA-DFW-SFO.
